Visa Information

To find out whether you need a visa to enter Argentina, check here: Do I need a visa to enter Argentina? ("Requiere visa" = a visa is required. "No requiere visa" = NO visa is required). Argentina no longer charges reciprocity fees to US, Canadian or Australian citizens.

Citizens from Mercosur nations need only their national ID to enter the country.

If you require a visa to enter Argentina, the first step is to contact your local embassy to receive guidance on the requirements as they may differ from country to country. Here is the list of Argentinian consulates around the world: Consular Office of the Argentine Republic.

You might be asked to provide an invitation letter to complete your visa application. If so, please click on the button below to complete the form.

Travel to Argentina

Currently, Argentina’s borders are open to all international travelers, so long as they comply with current health and entry requirements.

Non-resident arrivals must fill in an electronic ‘sworn statement’ form within 48 hours before traveling to the country, and present proof of insurance which will cover any covid-19 related costs. Click here to view and fill out the form.

There are no vaccination or testing requirements currently in force for travelers entering Argentina. Those who are not fully vaccinated are recommended to have a diagnostic test within 24 hours following their entry into the country.

Further information on entry/exit requirements, testing, vaccination requirements and health insurance is available here. Please note that these measures are subject to change at short notice, and should be consulted directly in the days leading up to international travel.
